Mystery, shenanigans, a nosey neighbor, and a little hanky panky.
When Mars Cannon meets a male exotic dancer at a bachelorette party, all decent thoughts fly out the window . . . until reality hits. And it hits hard! He has a secret and a long list of aliases. He’s not what he seems and Mars is dragged into a killer’s path.
Mars needs to outsmart an irresistible man and outrun a killer, all while pulling off her friend’s wedding without a hitch. Unfortunately, when it comes to the exotic dancer, she just can’t say no.

The good: I finished it. Most of the words were spelled correctly. With an editor and several revisions, it could be a pretty decent novel. It was free. The bad: Even suspending all concepts of reality, the author expects us to believe that Mars shrugged off assault, threats, breaking and entering, vandalism, and burglary with no desire whatsoever to contact the police. Why have a natural response to crime when one can trust a male stripper met 2 days prior? I mean, why would we NOT trust him? Surely a refusal to give his name isn't a sign of deception, right? Nah, he's cool because he sets the loins a-flame. Let's wait until a drive-by shooting in the workplace to contact the police...then have a brief exam by paramedics before leaving the scene without so much as a word to the police. Has this author bothered to research even the most basic actions taken in a police investigation?
The final straw was when Mars realizes her stalker is a serial killer, but she ca't be bothered with that right now because she has a wedding to plan. If your characters aren't concerned about their lives, why should the reader?
To the author: Please, please, please hire an editor. If you can't, then find new friends because the ones that read this and said "YES! Perfect! Publish it!" are dirty liars. You had a good start with interesting characters, but you lost it with the grammar, spelling (she's supposed to shudder, not shutter), and continuity errors.

Deadly Dancing Mars Cannon Book 1 edition by Nicolette Pierce Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews
A fun read! There is plenty of action. You’ll love Mrs. Janowaski and her paintball gun.
Mars Cannon is an event planner who gets sloshed after drinking only one glass of champagne. Her first encounter with a murder is when she plans a bachelor party for her best friend. A male stripper was murdered there, but the party must go on. Whoa, she meets a male stripper who makes her heart go pitter-patter. His name is Levi Mann or is it Chance or is it something else?
Through the magic of fiction all the men are entranced with Mars and all the women can’t keep their hands off whatever his name is.
There is a murderer killing women with a sledgehammer. Each victim attended male strip clubs numerous times. That puts Mars in danger. But what about the male stripper who was killed?
What’s his name manages to keep up with Mars as she runs from event to event, always doing everything perfectly except keeping her wardrobe intact. A quirky twist when the murderer catches both Mars and Brett, yea that is his name. Oh yea, they solve 2 crimes amidst all the amour.
The writing was good, the characters were good, but the two mystery plots were just not plausible. The Sledgehammer Killer? I knew who that was from the beginning......but the whole concept was stupid. And the mayor and his wife. Sigh.
Also, if you want people to pay for a book, hire an editor. We shouldn't have to insert words the author left out and correct the spelling if we pay for the book.
Great potential with the characters, though. I will read more books from this author if an editor is used.
Madison, WI. Mrs. Janowski (80+) was the neighborhood watchdog. She is kind of dingy but enjoys doing it.
A male exotic dancer was found dead at Longhorn’s Bar.
Jocelyn McCain (Events) called Marsalla “Mars” Cannon (30, daughter, narrator) to confirm that did happen.
Jocelyn was Mars employer/boss.
Officer Dugan wasn’t going to let Mars’ speak to the owner about Kym’s (Mars’ BFF) bachelorette party.
Jesse Corbin (aka Jesse James) was the deceased. He had been hit with a sledgehammer.
Mars’ (30, JME events coordinator) returned later & spoke with Annie (Longhorn’s Bar).
Dinner would be at The Lake Breeze restaurant.
Kym was getting married to Jim next week.
Kym had met Levi Mann (Cowboy, male stripper).
She later found out his real name was Nick Heat (aka Brett).
2 events were coming up Stevenson dinner 50th. wedding anniversary & the Madison Ladies’ luncheon.
Houston, TX. News headline Sledgehammer Killer brutally murdered Eve Thompson.
Mayor Fenwig’s luncheon was the next event on the calendar.
Curtis (JME events coordinator), & Emmy (25+, JME receptionist) were there to help.
Brett came later to help Mars out.
Karina Fenwig was quite endowed. She had been seeing Jesse on a regular basis.
Will the Sledgehammer Killer get caught & brought to justice?

I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review. Only an honest one.
A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written murder mystery book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great murder mystery movie, or better yet a mini TV series. A very easy rating of 5 stars.

If the book had a wrap up and conclusion (epilogue), it might have been worth the time I spent reading what appeared to be an unedited book. Books that have cliffhanger endings are ones I avoid. I'm looking for a story with an ending. I also didn't like that the heroine portrayed herself as a real ditzy woman who was so dumb she let all of her clothes like up. sh
She couldn't hook up her washer and dryer to wash a month's worth of clothes, but was capable of planning weddings and executing those plans very easily. Two handsome men were interested in her, one an EMT and the other a sexy exotic dancer. The exotic dancer and the EMT had all kinds of secrets but you have to buy the next three books to find out. I don't think I will.
The good I finished it. Most of the words were spelled correctly. With an editor and several revisions, it could be a pretty decent novel. It was free.
